Martindale VI13700 Details

This is so that it will comply with BS EN61243-3 2010 which came into force in May 2013. This standard bans the use of fuses in 2 pole voltage indicators.

The VI13800 shows all the key safety characteristics of the older VI-13700/2. It has retractable prods, cable with an inner cover of a different colour to quickly identify damage cables and impedances at both ends to limit current flow if a lead should be broken, eg. by being sheared in a steel cabinet

The Martindale VI13700/2 contact voltage indicator meets the Health and Safety GS 38 safety recommendation. It safely checks for AC and DC voltages from 50V to 600V AC/DC. The long life, LED indicators give a clear and fast display of the voltage level range and if the circuit is live.

The Martindale VI 137002 voltage indicator has been designed with electrical safety in mind, finger guards to prevent slipping onto live electrical circuits, double insulated test leads and a lockable and retractable prod sheath. 2 year warranty.

Voltage indicators should always be tested with a proving unit or a known live source before and after use.
